It is commonly agreed that Santa visits over 90 million homes every Christmas Eve. In order to do that sleigh has to go at the speed of light, which is 299 792 458 m/s. Santa’s sleigh is relatively emission free as 9 reindeers (Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph) provide green power. You probably knew that Rudolph was added to Santa’s reindeer team on one Christmas Eve during a bad snowstorm to lead the way with his glowing red nose. By using his Christmas magic Santa makes his reindeer fly.
So Santa has things pretty much covered but would there be anything to make gift logistics any smarter? We have some propositions:
- Calculate Santa’s co2 emissions: we haven’t yet added reindeer powered vehicles to our CVW tool but would definitely do this as soon as more information on Santa’s reindeers’ food habits is possible
- Ease the pain of children waiting for Santa to arrive: by adding real time sleigh location information and ETA to CaaS Map would greatly reduce hazzle of children (and parents) waiting for Santa to arrive
- Added safety to high valuable gifts: CaaS eSeal could be added to sleigh for geofencing and alerts when Santa is inside the homes
- pst. If you are Santa’s supplier with doubt about his logistics cababilities, you may wanna check Claus service, which delivers gifts to doors
